Do you ever experience discomfort, back aches, sore shoulders or even neck pain? Believe it or not, your bra might be causing it.
Whether at a store or online, buying a bra that perfectly fits shouldn't be a gamble. You're wearing it on the daily so you need the right bra size and fit for full chest support and comfort.
So ladies, follow these easy steps to measure your bra size and fit at home.
4 Easy Steps for Perfect Bra Size and Fit
It can be really tricky, especially if you don't know what you're doing. But we're here to help out!
First of all, go braless or wear a non-padded bra before you measure anything. Then, stand up straight for the most accurate measurements with a measuring tape.
Now, get a pen and paper and start measuring!
Step 1: Measure Band Size
Place your measuring tape around your ribcage where a bra band would sit. Make sure the tape is level and fits snuggly under your breasts.
Jot down the measurement. If the number is even, add 4 inches to it and if the number is odd, add 5 inches.
I measured 31 inches. It's an odd number so I'll add 5 inches. My band size is 36 inches.
Step 2: Measure Bust Size
The next step is to measure the fullest part of your bust. Wrap your measuring tape loosely around your bust, at nipple level.
Jot it down for the next step - your cup size.
My bust size is 39 inches.
Step 3: Measure Cup Size
All you need to do now is subtract your band size (Step 1) from your bust size (Step 2)!
Then, use the number you get (in inches) as a reference to your cup size from the table below.
My band size is 36 inches and my bust size is 39 inches. 39 - 36 = 3 inches so my cup size is a C.
Step 4: Determine Your Bra Size
That's it!
Put your band size (Step 1) and cup size (Step 3) together and you have your final bra size.
I have a 36 inch band size and my cup size is a C. So my bra size is 36C!
